What’s been motivating me

I just started reading Atomic Habits by James Clear a couple of days ago, and I think the book is amazing. So far, I have read four chapters, and I already feel like I can conquer my habits! The book is essentially about building good habits, and it goes into depth about how to stick with them. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to improve their habits. It is also a good read for those that already have existing habits but want to develop them further.

This quote stood out to me from the book because it gets down to the heart of what really matters in your daily tasks and how each action can affect you. I think connecting your actions to voting is such a good visual representation of habit building. When we vote, we choose what we think is best for us and our loved ones. When you act upon a certain action, you are voting for what the future you will become. I choose to exercise every day and make a conscious choice to eat well because I want my future self to live longer and happier. In those daily choices, I am voting for my future self. Good or bad, all choices have repercussions. The choices you make are up to nobody but you, but the consequences are a result of those choices and those you can’t always control. So go live your best life and vote for the best you possible!
